When you think deserts, you think outside, sand, yellows and oranges. This is exactly what has been achieved in this outdoor desert style wedding shoot by Modern Love Event. The great thing about this wedding shoot is that the theme has been focused on throughout. From the backdrop, food, wedding décor and grooms’ suit – it’s all stuck with the minimalistic theme and colours or the desert.

The Bride

The brides wedding dresses are an array of white and floaty – the perfect attire so a hot day in the desert. While the dresses are traditional floor length wedding dresses, the shoulders and chests of the brides are framed beautifully. The hairstyles have been created to look relaxed, natural and windswept.

The Groom

Meanwhile, the groom’s suit is set to match the theme to perfection. The white shirt and pocket napkin give a gentle nod to match the bride. The sandy colour of the bowtie and suit partner with the theme in a way that still makes the groom stand out from the sandy backdrop.

The Special Touches

The wedding stationery creates a stunningly muted affect with no hint to the theme. Yet, when set at the table surrounded by the wedding décor, they fit perfectly.

A charcuterie is a really nice addition for the evening meal. It allows guests to chat, relax, pick and nibble at the foods available. It takes away the formality, and creates a more relaxed atmosphere instead,

The delicate white buttonholes with sandy coloured reeds are a beautiful addition and helps tie the wedding party into the theme. Wedding flowers are commonly made up on roses, but the flowers on the table for this outdoor desert style wedding shoot add roses to a dried flowers and reeds, nodding once more to the theme.

Our Thoughts

One of our favourite things about this outdoor desert style wedding shoot, however, is the table. The great thing about an outdoor wedding is space. You don’t need to choose between the rectangle or circle tables the venue offers to fill the indoor space they have. Instead you can have your tables however you choose, even a long-curved line which helps guests engage and chat with each other.
